Ran into some pics of the splash guards and roof racks on new Cx-5 models. I haven't seen anyone post actual live pictures with the accessories installed so I figured I'd start a thread.

Roof rails:

They are. The little flaps in front of the wheel guide air under the car and they have gone to a lot of trouble to do it. No doubt somebody will turn up with those horrible Subaru rally style truck mudflats but these above are about as big as they can go without spoiling the airflow.

That is all well and good but they are called splash guards and the way I see it, won't help much at all

They are better than nothing and at least they look integrated rather than tacked on. Like I said, owners are free to add their own take on it and probably save money but I dont like the look. Ive attached a pdf that explains the airflow under the new model;

Thanks for the attachment.

Think I will give it a miss. Don't have them on my 6, won't have them on the CX-5.

Does anyone know what the Front & Rear Bumper Trim Package for $650 consist of? It shows up as an accessory option on Mazdausa's Build It website. I'm also wondering why the accessories in the Build It list don't really match up with the brochure and vice versa.

Thanks for sharing this. I've always wondered how those little deflectors and other underbody pieces were supposed to work.

All of these appearance accessories are great and all, but it is all for naught because of those GT wheels LOL

I like the rims but we are getting this option here, again for a cost:

Any chance you could ship a set of those to the US or see if your dealer would? Also, what width are they?

Costs to much for me to ship there. You could try contacting a dealer here via email. You could get this from Japan:

As to width of our ones, my guess is similar to the stock ones:

19 x 7.0 J

I am kind of digging the roof rails.

The roof rails are nice, they are CX-9, Audi, etc style flush rails. The only thing is that the crossbars are not available... I'm currently in process of trying to see if the CX-9 Thule fitkit will work for fitting a pair of their Aerobars on the roof.. I don't want to wait until late June to go kayaking :/
