Sun light reflection inside trim: electrical tape?

Hi

2016.5 CX-5

So noticed this yesterday. Sun hitting inside and the reflection is pretty strong. Wish they had less bling trim inside.

Besides using electrical tape to mask, any other ideas?

Mask tap - for AC vents near door mirrors there is a TSB, but some dealers may not want to do such small work.

A clear flat finish spray. Modelers call it dull-coat. Clean and mask the chrome bits, then spray on.

Testors. Reminds me I still have a 1/35 panzerkampfwagen IV D model that I am scared to start since my toddler decapitated my old finished model and broke its gun.

Its the price we pay for vanity. Drives me nuts, but its infrequent enough for me to do anything about it.
