Re: 2016 CX-5 Grand Touring

I have a fuse tap kit coming in the mail, but my new RD hardwire kit has a spade tap for tapping into an existing wire. I can't find a diagram of which wires do what, looking at the two bundles of wires in the fusebox. Can I tap one of those? I'd prefer a switched circuit, not an always-on one. Hardwire kit has an inline fuse. Please help.

3rd down on the right for "rear outlet" - it's 15A and it's only on when the ignition is on, so it's not constant. I didn't need a constant.

See Hardwiring a dash cam on page 2 below.

Thanks, but that's not what I was looking for. I want to know which wire in those two bundles I can tap into with my spade tap. I know about the fuses panel, but don't have an add a fuse at the moment. I do have a spade tap and have used that successfully in other cars.

So order one for like $5 on ebay... otherwise look behind the panel and try to find out the applicable wire by sight. It's not as simple as "the green wire" as there are over 100 wires in the harness. Also moving because this thread does not comply with the sticky.

I have soldered the wires, to my mirror's wires and tuck everything up, behind the headliner.
I have an Escort Redline. The Escort Live, is in the little pocket on the left side of the steering wheel.
Check post #29 on how I have it installed:

Since than, I have replaced the original clip, that comes with the kit, whit one from Amazon, the had a spring style clip, which holds better the detector.
It bounces to much, because it is quite heavy device.
