Windshield Tint/Safety Sensor Interference?

Brand new 2016 CX-5 GT with both optional packages owner here. Fourth Mazda for me! Obviously, I love 'em. (bowdown)

Like others on here, I want to tint the front windows to match the back as much as is possible given the Florida tint laws. I also want to tint the windshield as there is no factory tint at the top half as some windshields have, and it is pretty brutal even with the visors in place. FL law requires "Non-reflective tint is allowed above the manufacturer's AS-1 line" for windshields.

Question--has anyone done this who has the safety feature front-facing sensors (I believe it is a camera and laser) located in the rearview mirror base? I'm worried that a tint band might interfere with that functionality.

Thanks!

The tint on the windshield would be two pieces. It would go from the pillars inwards and stop at the plastic housing of the mirror, so no interference with the safety systems.
