First Mazda (pics inside)

Mazda P5
First Mazda (Pics Updated)

My first Mazda, first silver car. Just f*ng clean. Pulls nice, needs new intake. Wanting to get a second engine to rebuild (fsde just up the compression). Some know I've been wanting carbon fiber. Thinking of keeping it stock as much as possible just lighten it up.

Can't wait to buy my car parts :)

AEM Cold air intake installed, quick sand polished. Bought from the big dill.
Canadian style headlights. Sand polished (hour and a half job). Bought from the big dill.

Uploading pictures to my Album as well on here.
I might upload photos there and not here due to "build" pictures only being posted on here.

Check Photos. Changed my posts Re-click and see the magic. (breakn)

Headlights on the car with bumper off are the ones I needed to replace badly.

I'll say that's really clean like too clean lol . Then I realized your location that's why . Welcome to the club, any questions feel free to ask this forum isn't as active as it used to be but ppl still lurk around. As to u building ur motor the fsze came with 10.4:1 comp pistons so that could be an easy swap for u if your mechanically inclined.

I'll tell u this tho this platform isn't cheap to modify. Things are hard to come by and aren't cheap but of your willing to look around you will find what your looking for. The protege responds well to suspension mods. They are SLOW tho and not much will make it fast. Good luck and keep her clean

Thank you, the fsze is where i got the idea of raising the compression and the swap is a wiring nightmare. Also found out the msp uses the same engine with turbo. Thinking of that route too. Pictures are from February 2015, car was bought on February 9th 2015.

The swap is not a nightmare. In fact it's as easy as dropping in a USDM FS-DE, you just swap all of the US external sensors and accessories to the JDM engine and it will run great on the P5 ECM and wiring. However you can only fully utilize the higher compression and aggressive cams by tuning the ECM, which isn't easily done. Things like an MP3 re-flash help, but there is little available for a true custom tune. If you want to do an N/A build, the ZE is a good place to start.

That being said, there are better gains to be had by going turbo with a MSP swap. You get 170hp right off the bat, that will only improve as you build.

Welcome, and nice P5!

Ahh yes i came across swapping sensors but didn't read too much into it. I'll research it. Can i get sensors from AutoZone or has to be from Mazda? Where can i buy p5 parts too cuz i look every where

Really impressed with how clean your car your car is. Wish mine looked like that. Sat in the sun for 4 years before I bought it. Keep it clean!

Dang. When did you take those pics? Car looks brand new. The silver always looked clean, really easy to work with the color. Mine's yellow, hard to find other colors that look good with yellow.

If you're looking to lighten it up, check out Tamn's build page on here. Got his P5 down to 1940 pounds with a full tank. He documented all the weight saves. Took me for a ride or two in it...thing mobbed

I still can't take in how clean your car is... it's as if you did time travel. How much do these cars go for in this condition in your area?

Cold air intake on the car. Sounds so much more aggressive. Thanks big dill. Can't wait for headlights installation.

You could get a unichip from ThePope540 and really see the fs-ze come alive. The mp3 flash can give you gains in you current state.

Update on current work. Trying to polish intake, got new rubber connectors.
