Fatcat 6 Ski Rack on factory roof rails and crossbars

Hello!
I'm wondering if anyone here has successfully installed the Yakima Fatcat 6 ski rack on their CX-5 using factory roof rails and crossbars to mount. The Yakima fit guide says it will work but the Amazon fit guide says no go. Just wondering it will work and whether or not ski bindings will clear the roof when put together.

I've attached FatCats to my Whispbar setup and had no problem but I was using teleskis and kids alpine setups. The hardware will fit the factory crossbar as well. It depends on your bindings if it'll hit the roof however there is a built in lifter on the FatCat in case you need the clearance. In general, ski bindings with a tall track or spacer and snowboard bindings will need to use the lifter.

I have the fatcat 6 installed on oem crossbars. the fatcat6 has the option to raise one side if you want to haul more than 2 sets of skis or snowboards. I've only used snowboards and whilst raise i can fit 4 boards with bindings no problem.
