How to - detach rear centre seatbelt?!

Mazda Cx5 2.2d Sport Nav
Picked up my 2.2d Sport Nav last week, and can't for the life of me work out how to detach the rear centre seat belt.

There is a little white inlaid tab that looks like a button, I've tried pressing the seat belt end into it, but nothing happening.

Any ideas, hopefully I'm missing something blindingly obvious!!? The seat belt where it sits makes it difficult for my kid to do his belt up.

OK..it was the white tab insert, just needed prodding with a key.

However, the buckle doesn't return all the way to the top of the seat, so just ends up dangling and making an annoying nose unless there's someone sitting in a side seat at the back and it rests against them.

We just flip it back into the trunk area, and let it dangle there. No issues with noise so far.
