Whats going on folks?

Well, I have been lurking for a while but I have had my 2014 2.5 CX-5 GT FWD tech since December of last year. I am LOVING the car/cuv.

I am very pleased that my CX5 averages 28 mpgs whilst my 2007 6 2.3 averages 25 mpg. I guess this whole Skyacvtiv bologna works.

It does in fact work. In fact, you'll probably have a hard time beating it down to the mileage your 6 gets!

That is for sure! I have always liked the way Mazdas handle and this CX5 is no different. I liken the cuv to a tall sporty car that gets excellent gas mileage and looks great!

The last tank I got was indicated as 41.3 MPG average using the factory gauge (all highway). Though it is usually 1-3% optimistic, that is still amazing since I have over 20,000 miles on my fully elephant weighted GT AWD w/ tech. SkyActiv isn't just a gimmick .

SkyActiv doesn't just apply to the engine, it applies to the tech in the vehicle as well.

Skyactiv technology applies to chassis, body, tranny too. Yes it works, good engineering.
