Two CX5 family. Question on smell.

We went and purchased another CX5 today. Now we have two CX5's in the garage.
Mine is the white one and the red one is my wife's AWD GT w/ tech pkg.

Mine didn't have any burning smell when it was new but my wife's has plastic burning smell when I turn on the heat or walk outside after parking.

I hope it will go away soon. How long will it smell like that?

Ive had that smell on all the mazda's that I've owned. Usually about 2 to 3 days.

I don't know about the smell, but that is a happy picture you posted.

I got a 2014 GT w/tech package several weeks ago. It took about 4 days for that smell to go away. I love my new CX5, i'm hoping that feeling doesn't go away as time passes. From reading on this forum, it seems to stay. I just wish I could but the cx5 body and insides on top of a forester engine & drive train...anyone know how to do this? j/k

It sure is a happy picture. I would love to swap mine for a soul red.

The smell should go away in 3-4 days.
