I was monitoring the inlet air temps via my DashHawk, and always noticed how low they seemed to be. Now having come from a CX7 turbo with an ETS topmount intercooler with very high inlet temps, my curiosity was somewhat peaked.
The diesel's inlet temps are actually not much above ambient, so that usually means an intercooler. And being that low, would mean a front mount intercooler. To my surprise, there is a nice front mount intercooler filling the lower grille area.
Good to see Mazda moved away from the top mounts..!!!!
