Passenger side mirror interior housing chipped

While drying my mirror my rag got caught underneath the top housing and discovered I've got holes and chips. At dealer now and they're examining it to determine if it's a defect or incident.

Also they say they may not be able to do anything about the vibrations on drivers side mirror until it's on TSB.

**Update, they stated it won't be covered since it appears that there was a scrape and cracked that lead to the holes and chipping. I don't see any scrapes, but I can understand this problem could have came from any where but the manufacturer. It's about $160 for the part, has any one tinkered with the side mirror before? I'd like to replace the trim molding myself.

There is a tsb for the mirror vibration.
Even though the tsb specifically mentions 2013... my dealership will use the same tsb for my 2014...

Not sure about the mirror.

You think it's worth a shot to take it to another dealer for my vibrating mirror & damaged trim?

It looks like its possible someone hit it with their body as they were passing by in a parking lot

The dealer I purchased from won't replace it, but the other one near by where I should have given my business to will!
