Can anyone hook me up with the alignment specs? I have a lot of pot holes in my area and my car is already out of alignment (confirmed by dealership and other automotive places that is the problem , its pulling to the right )

If you go to the dealership they want $150..

But with a gift card I have for local but high end automotive shop I can get an alignment for $50.....

They have AllData and so do I but they said the specs weren't in there yet since its 2013...

And there's no way I am going to get them out of the dealership

Thanks

There is one poster who had the centering electrical steering ring(device) out of adjustment that made his pull to one side. The dealer fixed it. How many miles do you have on it?

I think you get a free one at the dealer if you are under a year and 10k miles...something like that. But basically its a courtesy one if its still new. Ask them if they will do it for free.

+1 nizzy. Good dealers usually offer one free alighment during the first year or 10K miles unless they spot a bent rim, suggesting you hit a curb or something.

I unfortunately got into a minor collision and I need an alignment I am 100% certain. A local shop can do a laser alignment for $50 with a gift card I have and the dealer for $100. But the shop doesn't have the specs

for a stock vehicle like this, you want 0 toe on each side, 0 to -.5 camber per side, and whatever caster it came with (likely between -2 and -5)

Yes but I don't want to pay money for not exact. I most likely will take to dealer thanks anyway. We need a leak haha

Attached are the Wheel Alignment pages from the service manual. Hope this helps!
Sorry it's upside down....

Thanks Robertmazda for alignment specs, since I use a local independent custom wheel/tire shop for all related service.

"legit" as in the oem specs? it appears so...

or

"legit" as in good specs? not really...

nearly all oem alignments are blah, meh, and more... the front would benefit from a touch of toe out, the front needs more camber, the rear toe in is a bit much, and the rear camber isn't enough...

I know OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer but does that mean Mazda or not Mazda.

Should I take my car to the dealership and pay $150 for an alignment with them using potentially different specs?

Or should I take it to a local shop and get it done for $50 with these specs.

Basically my question is does the dealer have those specs or different ones?

I'm glad you understand driving dynamics and tire life better than the people who engineered the car and have spent thousands of hours testing the CX-5! LOL!

This forum cracks me up.

I wonder how many hours were spent on the vibrating mirror and rising oil levels?

Mazda don't get everything right, not first time anyway.

Besides a bog standard set up is often improved by specialist firms, at a premium.

The forum member who scanned the pages and created the PDF said it was from the shop manual. I don't see why anyone would have a reason to doubt him.

So, you would rather use specs that some small garage came up with as being "improved" rather than the factory supplied and tested specs even though there is zero evidence that Mazda somehow came up with sub standard specs?

Hey, it's your money, re-distribute it to whomever convinces you that you need to pay to get "extra good" alignment specifications, lol!

I posted it - scanned from the official Mazda service manual for the CX-5. I had posted in another thread about waiting for the manual to be released (which for some reason took until last month). I can tell you that the manual is about $200 from the Mazda dealer, and is HUGE. It doesn't come bound - it's a stack of three hole punched pages about 8 inches high. I had to buy 3 ring binders to put it in. Three 3" binders holds it all.
