Vehicle stops when door opens - Remote control

it depends on your remote start setup, some allow you too, some don't, if yours doesn't then i dont think there is anything you can do short of replacing it with a different system

I agree. My aftermarket Viper system does not shut the car down when you open the door--it allows 45 seconds for you to get in and step on the brake.

This is a safety feature that cannot be bypassed. I think Mazda's whole remote start for the CX-5 is a big letdown. 2 fobs to carry around? Why not just build it into the 1 fob like all other manufacturers.

I am driving the CX5 GT AWD and am looking to get a remote installed. In that you have one, a VIPER that I have heard might be the way to go, what model? Do you need to give up one fob for the installation? I hope not. How much did it cost?
Thanks for any input you might be able to offer
Bob
