I could have polished them, but wanted something a bit more subtle..
I see. IMHO, the matte silver finish does not match anything on CX. A polished shiny finish matches Mazda logos and nameplates on back, which is why it's my preference.
Matches the wheels almost perfectly which makes for a nice blended look from the rear quarter.. I intend to remove the chrome bits (debadge for a cleaner look) from the rear anyway...

I like the look, I am like you I don't like the shiny chrome look....there is too much black plastic on this vehicle to have flashy chrome. I like a sporty look vs a flashy look.
