I just got my CX-5 Sport with MT and I really love the performance. I would like to upgrade the seats (leather) and add some other electronic goodies. Since the CX-5 is new there are hardly any aftermarket mods for it. However, I see lots of things out there for Mazda 3, speed triple, etc... Have any of you noticed some parts of the CX-5 that could be recycled from other Mazda vehicles? Perhaps seats, billit pedals, etc, that I could use to upgrade my vehicle? By the way, with the price and performance of the MT, I feel it was worth getting the MT Sport. The GT and Touring were nice, but the auto tranny felt sluggish (adequate) to me compared to the MT. MT noticeably more responsive, enough that I bought it! Thanks for all your advice!

It's been reported that the CX-5 is all new and doesn't share anything with any other Mazdas. That may change in the future when they bring out more Kodo and SkyActive products.

It’s a compact SUV designed fresh from the ground up with no hand-me-down components.

Compatibility with parts from other Mazdas? Not that likely, I'd say. You'd certainly be pioneering it.

Thanks for your input. I'll just have to wait for aftermarket mods....
