Change air filter on 2009 cx9

It is very easy, to say the least.
Probably the second easiest thing you can do DIY for your vehicles behind
cabin air filter (or about the same).

1) open the hood. Support the hood properly with the rod.
2) the air box is the bulky black plastic box at middle (towards lower right)
3) unlatch the metal latches (one at the left, two at top, two at bottom -
not sure about the counts - you can see them visually)
4) pull the left side upwards, then slide the box leftwards
5) lift it about 2" and take the air filter out.
Reverse the process when installing.

If you meant what the interval is to change air filter, do it when it is dirty.
Usually around every 10K to 15K. (every 2 to 3 oil changes, which is every 5K).
