What do you recommend for a Chrome Trim?

Hoping to mod the front grill a little bit as I don't quite like the dark open fish mouth grill. Thinking of adding a slight accent with a couple of 1/4 inch flexible chrome trim pieces on either side of the Mazda logo (see photo).

What do you recommend for this chrome trim? I've looked at Cowles chrome trim and decided against it as it would not be durable enough. I'm looking for something that will endure the Summers of southern U.S. for at least five years. Any ideas?

My preference is the way the stylists did it from the factory, they spent a lot of time perfecting the look. Adding chrome lines makes it too busy and makes the solid black top piece look tacked-on.
