I'm so use to my mute button on the steering wheel...and not on the CX5! Nooo...

Interesting. I've never had a car with mute button anywhere (not that I've owned many in recent years.)

The Mute button is replaced by the hands free Bluetooth system button on models equipped with it.

I just press the main volume button. It's within reach and mutes instantly.

Thats weird I have one on my sport and thats the lowest model. I have base everything. No bluetooth though

Not missing the mute button. When phone rings (bluetooth), music is suppressed so nothing to mute during calls.

Agreed, volume button works well for other times not involving phone.

The mute button on the phone usually refers to muting the microphone, not the volume. Is there a button for that? Most of the corporate calls that we join, we stay quiet for most of the time. So it's essential to be able to disable the microphone to avoid polluting the call with own noises.

And some of the Bluetooth equipped cars I've driven have that button - does the CX-5?
