I just measured the thread pitch on mine yesterday and found it to be 10X1.25. A 10x1.50 will work as there is not a huge difference, but is NOT the actual pitch (I tried it as a test) and will require a little extra force and may possibly cause damage to threads. Also as a note the Autoexe shift knob availiable from Corksport specifically for the Mazda 2 has a pitch of 10x25.
