Water pump failure

FYI - almost forgot, since it was about a year ago - water pump went in our 2008 CX-9. I noticed a puddle of anti-freeze on garage floor when wife left for work one morning. Took to my Mazda dealer. They confirmed, the seal/water pump was leaking. Parts were ordered, came from a parts distribution center near Mechanicsburg, PA. Of course they would receive (2) two feet of snow. CX-9 sat on rack for over a week. Parts finally arrived - this is a major job on this vehicle since it is a "side-winder". Practically everything had to be dropped from the front end to access the pump/seals. It finally got repaired (they gave me a loaner) and it has been OK now for a year with no further visible problems on the garage floor. Other than that I have to pry the keys out of my wifes hand to even get it for routine service.

Yeah. It is a big job to service the water pump.
You need to lift the engine to get to it.
Just hope that it will not fail out of OE warranty.
Water pump is not considered as "powertrain".
It is only covered under 3yr/36K.
