Silver Trim Removal

Hey all,

I am trying to figure out how to remove the silver trim on our 07 GT AWD.

Would like to paint them or cover them with a vinyl applicae.

They are getting all scuffed up, I am thinking I can scuff them up a bit lightly and then primer and paint with spray paint.

Anybody else repaint their plastic trim? It's sad to see the car, which is in otherwise fine shape, look so worn out with the scuffs on these pieces.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated,

I will send you the WorkShop manual pages related to removing those trim pieces.

However, there is a TSB to replace them, I wonder if you know that already.
If your CX9 is still under warranty, I would recommend that you let the dealer replace them.
The new ones have an extra anti-scratch transparent coating on them, not on the old ones.

Even if it is out of warranty, I would talk to the service adviser and see if there is any discount
you can get from Mazda. (1/2 off?)

Which ones? Door and console?
