"Opening the Front Windows & Moonroof from Outside"

Greetings to all CX 9 Owners! My CX 9 Touring 2010 model does not operate the opening of the front window & moonroof remotely using the keyless entry system, I'd checked the manual it said just press the unlock button twice and hold and it will open....I'd tried mine but it doesnt work, Do I need to bring it to the dealer to activate it? I need the features coz its hot here in our place...thank you for some input on my thread.

You shouldn't need to take it to the dealer. I think you have to wait 1 second between pushes, then hold. Mine is pretty temperamental as well and it took me awhile to perfect it.

Thank you, i'd tried it several times i couldnt get the timing.....its pretty annoying

1st unlock press: unlocks driver's door
2nd unclock press: unlock all doors/hatch
3rd press and hold it down: roll down all windows and moonroof

Make sure the front windows go down on Auto from the door switch first.

With the doors already locked:

Press once....

Press again and hold until the windows are all the way down.

Finally got mine to work. I have to press the unlock a second time without delay and hold it down.

Either hold it down on the second press, or press the 3rd time and hold it down.
Both work, but the interval between presses have to be short.
Whether the windows are locked out by driver control does not seem to matter.

Ours is extremely tempermental too. Seems like when it does work, the windows only go down about 4 or 5 inches, then stop. Very annoying, as we were really looking forward to this feature!

Strange. The windows should keep going down till you release the unlock button.
