It's true, our 2010 MZ3 Short Ram Intakes are now available with three new anodizing colors on the Mass Airflow Sensors: Blue, Red and Gold. There's a $5 premium for these colors as we are doing them in smaller batches which costs a bit more for the anodizing, inventory costs, etc.

We will be rolling these out for the MS3's soon as well, if you're curious. And yes, we're doing our best to put together some options for purchasing parts separately if you bought early on and want to change colors.

Here are some previews of the colors (and yes, the flash does effect the look of the parts a bit, the gold is darker than shown):

In addition to these options, we're also working with one of our local customers to put together a full custom anodized color scheme for her CWP 2008 MS3: Dark Violet anodized TMIC, MAF, Turbo Inlet Pipe and Oil Cap. We're trying to figure out what color to go for with our test mule MS3's FMIC kit - debating between an emerald green, tangerine orange and darth vader blacked out...

Needless to say, we're contemplating offering other colors, but we need to get some polling data to figure out which to roll out next. Powdercoated intakes are going to be an option soon also, as soon as we have all of our orders filled and aren't hustling to get as many parts out as we can in the configurations we're currently offering!! Thanks for all of your support.

Any chance of a cryo-coating (single or multi-stage) on the turbo inlet pipe to keep the heat induction lower since Corksport TIPs aren't silicone? I'm on the edge with the Corksport SRI/combo TIP intake type...... with a modified airbox cover (either my own or CS's).....

Also, the MAFs seem to have an embedded air-straightener. Might want to show that into the pics with an angled shot. No history of CEL's to speak of with those straighteners, is there? I like the embedded ones vs the drop-in straightener for the MS-CAI.....

Our straighteners are press fit and bonded in. They can be removed, but the machined housing is toleranced for a press fit of the straightener and ensures that it is concentric and parallel to the flow through the housing.

As for coating, we'll be offering a powdercoat, but haven't sourced any ceramic coating option. If you check out my blog post on Turbo Inlet Pipes, you may rethink the criticality of the turbo inlet pipe material selection.

If you're really set on thermally isolating the turbo inlet pipe, you could always ship it to Jet Hot or another ceramic coating specialist.

Looks good, I'm wondering if I can get a black anodized MAF housing with my order that's supposed to ship on the 23rd.

They all came in black anodized before. If you have an outstanding order, it was placed for a black anodized part.

Looks great guys! My vote for the shop car is emerald green, or, if you're still thinking about it, do a really dark blue (think Kona blue on the new 6).

So like on my 2010 Mazda 3 it will bolt right in? Or is it for the Speed version?

The intake in this post is for the Mazda 3. We do have a speed intake available but it is different.
