Adding a Homlelink Autodimming mirror to a 2008 Grand Touring

After digging a bit on the internet I came up with this unit:

Has anyone installed this? Is there a CX-9 mounting and wiring kit? All I need is 12V to it.

It is $199 vs $237. The latter comes with a adapter/kit for Mazda CX9 (w/ or w/o rain-sensor), a compass plus a nicely written instructions for CX9. (mazdaparts.org)

It is your call.

Yep, I appreciate the value of plug-in wiring harnessess and good instructions especially when working on a clean, newer car. Don't need the compass though. I am worried it might be annoying or distracting to look at.

I have this lying around from our 09 CX9, used for about 2 weeks until we switched to the rear camera version. It's just the mirror, and you will need to get the kit from the dealer or the net. $100 + shipping (US only). Let me know if you are interested.
