there's a manual key in the smart key.
On the back will be a little release slide. Push it and pull the bottom silver cap out (that the ring attaches to) and that's the manual key.
I hope not. (no)I am not sure if we can replace the credit card type with this one?
Nope diff alarm module. frequencys are not the same....I am not sure if we can replace the credit card type with this one?
I did an interesting experiment yesterday.
I put my cell phone (AT&T 3G) and the keycard together in my hand.
The SmartKey did not allow my access to open the doors.
I separated the two into two hands. It worked.
I got on the driver's seat and put both back together in the left hand.
I was able to start the engine.
Strange, eh?
It seems like the sensors in the doors are not as discriminating as the ones inside the cabin.
By discriminating, I mean the capability to tell two signals of similar frequencies apart.
In any case, try to separate your keycard from cell phone by at least 1 ft.
