premacy brake shoe change

HI I have an mx5(eunos mk1) and a premacy
Im just about to change brake shoes on the premacy and have removed the wheel and drum on one side but can not see how to release the self adjuster and hand brake activator at the top
All hints and suggestion would be very welcome

Did you take the top and bottom springs that hold shoes tight off? That will allow the adjuster to fall out and unhook the parking brake cable. This is from memory of drums that I've done, never seen the premacy drums but I suspect they are the same. Drums are drums.

thanks for your input premacy brake shoes all replaced. the main problem was that the self adjusting cam lever and rachet trapped one end of the top spring the trick is to start on the other end of the spring although a harder pull is required
Be careful to keep the rear shoe with all the self adjust gubbins together until you map out how to reassemble the whole thing Brian
