ethanol vs non-ethanol gas

Guys,

Does the ethanol blended gas pose any issues with either engine functionality and/or performance [MPG] vs pure unleaded? I know my chainsaws really bog down with the blend, although two totally different engines/designs.

Finally, if you use the blend, then fill-up with pure unleaded [an alternating pattern of consumption], does this pose any threat to the fuel system/engine in the 09 GT?

Thx,

Lower MPG with ethanol. Ethanol blended gas has problems with long term storage. Other than that, no problems. All of my small engines run fine on it, as long as the gas is fresh. Not that I have any choice, all gas here is ethanol blended.

Yeah definitely lower MPGs I thought it was due to something else when all along the station I was using has a sticker that says 10% ethanol. I thought no big deal but I have now been finding station that don't use ethanol and have been getting better MPGs.
