oil drain

http://estovideorepairs.blogspot.com/

Well grab your 15mm wrench two latex gloves crawl under the cx-9 and slightly off center to the right you will find a brownish color 15mm bolt with a black gasket around it. Hit loose and drain your oil. also have some sort of oil filter wrench especially if its your first oil change because the factory installed filter is extremely tight. On install of new filter lube verify that you removed the old gasket from the engine. clean the surface on where the filter goes lube the filters gasket and tighten nice and HAND TIGHT TO A GOOD SNOOG. The cx-9 take exactly 6 liters. just over 6 quarts. good luck and keep me updated.

My owners manual (2007) says 5.2L or 5.5Qts.

What Oil do you guys use? Full synthetic or Dino?

I always believed you shouldnt switch a new car to Synthetic until at least the second or third oil change so the break in can be done with Dino and it helps "Seat things in" so to speak.

What have you guys done?
