Yep, the Duelers truly suck and it isn't just the opinion of a small number of people either.
What's even more amusing is that the Parada is currently about $50 less per tire yet has a considerably better wear rating not to mention a substantially better overall customer rating.
Unless something better comes along between now and the time the Duelers wear out it looks like the Parada is my next tire.

The Duelers are probably more because Bridfestone has to make up for the low bid to auto makers in order to get them put on as standard equipment. They low ball for OEM knowing most people replace their tires with the exact same model, so they can charge extra for the replacements.

Tire makers' bid for OE tires serves two purposes
- the customers find out that the tires are expensive. Therefore, they think they got a great deal buying the vehicles
- when it comes time to replace tires, a big percentage of people always buy the same tires as the ones from factory. (printer - ink business model)
