Chipped Windshield how to repair

Windshield took a hit and now I'm left with a 2 point star chip. Not to big but how do I repair it or should I let the professionals do it? Where are the professionals located in Toronto (Mississauga)?

Take it to a glass shop - anyplace that advertises windshield replacement. They will shoot it with this hot glue stuff that will stop it from expanding and may even make it "invisible". The cost should be around US$25 cash, or US$50 if you use your insurance.

Here in the US, some insurance companies (State Farm for example) will pay for this at no cost, no deductible, and it is not considered a claim.

Assumptions: (a) a credit card will cover the chip / any expansion; and (b) this is not in the driver's main field of vision.
