Searched around and didn't see this info anywhere.

The OD's of the boost tubes as I measured them tonight are:

From turbo: 2.5"
To intercooler: 2.5"
From intercooler: 3"
To intake manifold: 3"

For confirmation, I would measure your own boost tube OD's before ordering as there may be slight differences

You will need to buy:

2x 2.75" T-Bolt Clamps ($2.60 ea)

this thread is worthless without pics
very worthwile especialy if upping boost but just as helpfull when stock. boost leak kills.

Well, considering I don't have the clamps yet and I have no way of leaping into the future, the install pics will have to wait until they show up (wiggle)

About the only thing I would add to this is to remind anyone doing it that while they have the intercooler off they should check their plugs. You can learn one hell of a lot by looking at them.

is it super easy to put boost tubes on? i swear i coulda read on a how-to somewhere that one of them was a super pita and made the mod truly not worth it unless going more psi aka don't do it if you're just going to push stock boost..

Very easy.

1 - Remove intercooler cover
2 - Disconnect BPV
3 - Remove 3 nuts holding intercooler in place
4 - Loosen clamps holding stock tubes onto intercooler
5 - Carefully pull up on intercooler until it comes off
6 - Loosen clamps holding stock tubes onto turbo and onto the intake manifold
7 - Remove stock tubes
8 - Replace with new tubes
9 - Put everything back together.

Basically, it's the same process as the one I described in the OP

the large (cold side) clamps were a perfect fit.

the small (hot side) clamps are big, almost too big. youll need a 10mm deepwall to get em tight, and I was nearly outta thread.

Next size down, 2", IF they are big enough, would be a better choice

also, they are wide, so you need to get them well positioned over the groove machined in the tubes

absolutely secure once installed

one can also purchase tbolt clamps locally from napa. they are more expensive, but you don't wait, and depending upon where you purchase online, you don't have to pay for shipping
