Sirius Quality

this is my first experience with sat radio and while I like the programming, I haven't been impressed with audio quality so far. this morning I was listening to a song I know on channel 24 (Lithium), and it sounded pretty mediocre. to make sure it wasn't in my head, I played it off my iPhone through the Aux channel. same song, bought off the old iTunes system so only 128kbps, but sounded 100 times better.

any thoughts on the subject? a quick search of Google and the consensus I see is that I shouldn't quite expect CD quality, but this sounds almost worse than FM. Has anyone used the service with other tuners experience the same thing? could this be specific to the Mazda tuner?

I think it's the tuner. My brother has a factory Sirius tuner in his E500 and it sounds way better than our Mazdas.

I have this service on my nissan quest a couple of years ago, here is my story...

I have to replace the receiver after 1 year
During the winter time reception was terrible (sunny days too)
Sound quality is very poor always

I won't pay for another year ever!
