Audi A4 Quatrro
I've been lurking around this forum for about a 2 weeks now.
so I thought I'd finally sign up, and introduce myself.
My name is Jason, and Im looking into getting a Protege5.
I test drove couple p5 and WOW, I love it!
everything's soo simple, and the exterior styling is beautiful IMO
and handling felt pretty good.

I used to be into Japanese cars, then went to the European scene, now looking to return with a Protege5.

I used to own an Acura Integra. Sold it due to theft problems.
I was going for the full Mugen look....thieves ftl! only owned the car for 1 1/2 years
<img src="http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a48/JDMGoSpeedRacer/DSCF0603.jpg" alt="" border="0"><br>
<br>
now I currently drive an Audi A4 Quattro. I LOVE the car, but cost to maintain it is crazy. and parts are hard to source locally. im getting tired of running around, and over paying for parts. I only had this car for 1 year, and boy did it dig deep into my pockets. but the AWD Quattro did have a way to make me fall in love with the car over and over
<img src="http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a48/JDMGoSpeedRacer/l_e2edb03708c64e1db316f13014368497.jpg" alt="" border="0">
and now, here I am. researching, and looking for a Protege5 as my next car.
1. insurance is cheaper for the p5
2. gas is cheaper for the p5 <---this car takes 87 octane correct? anyways, anything will beat filling up an Audi's 17 gallon tank on 91 octane only

3. Oil changes will be alot cheaper! Audi required full syn. and a $12.99 mobil 1 updated oil filter
4. replacement parts are cheaper! plastic PCV valve cost me $60 for the Audi, and for the Mazda its only a $5 part, and avail at autozone and other local part store.

alright, thats all <img src="http://www.mazdas247.com/members/evilmonkeyMSP/Standard%20Smilies/smile.gif" alt="" title="smile" class="inlineimg" border="0"><br>

I originally thought I had a nail stuck in my tire as I kept hearing a low ticking noise, the ticking noise became a faint grinding noise. then it became a full on grinding noise that echoed throughout my street *LOUD* as if my wheel bearing was toast or something. <br>

but the AWD Quattro did have a way to make me fall in love with the car over and over
teh same will be of the protege, its a love/hate relationship for sure.

more pics of the audi please, looks like a lot of work went into er

I don't really skimp on my car, and treat it just as well as any of my more higher performance vehicles. Amsoil Synthetics, chevron gas, iridium plugs, etc

They are great cars! I just figure the better maintenance the longer it will last.

yeah, my dad had 300,000 miles on his mpv. still running strong, until someone crashed into it.

and my brother has a MazdaSpeed 3. which is an absolute monster stock!
and very reliable.

so I figured! the Protege5 would be a VERY VERY VERY wise decision at all aspects.

nothing really, just a Forge 007, K&N, N249 delete, and full exhaust.

yeah man, i would love a turbo, in fact, i would love to buy one off of someone on this site, but to be honest, i look at your sig, and i have no idea what you're selling, i dont have enough experience to know exactly what i would be buying. so maybe if you want to clearfy.

lol. well. my kit is everything you'd need to work a turbo kit.

manifold, turbo, downpipe, wastegate, FMIC, piping, BOV,oil lines and an mpi..

basically, it's everything that you're going to need to run turbo. and the only OTHER thing you'll need to do, is tap your oil pan for a return line.

yeah bro, I dont know too much about turbos and i dont know if i would be able to get any help from anyone when i get back, considering i would have to tap into my oil pan would not be something that i would want to do left to my own devices. If i can find someone to help me out with it, i'll let you know, but other than that, i'm sure i won't be of much help

well tapping the oil pan really isn't a big deal. you can have a machine shop do it for VERY cheap.. or a welder.. w/e.
