Ok,
So picked up a new-to-me Mazda5, 2006 with AT. Power steering light kicked on once before we bought it, figured it's still under warranty (28k miles on it), didn't worry too much about it.
I added fluid, was below 'min,' light still kicks on intermittently. Not always sure when, it's wife's car so I don't drive it much. She mentioned that it seems to kick on 'in parking lots/parking lot driving.' Took this as low-speed turns, but she doesn't crank the wheel when at a stop, always rolling.
Based on the fact that they've got a light just for PS system, I'm thinking they've had issues with this before? What's likely culprit? I'd just assume look it over myself and not just take it to a dealer b/c an idiot light is on...
Should I be looking for a leak in the system? Likely places?
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Nick
