Power Steering Belt

The power steering belt on my 2008 CX-9 GT broke while I was driving last week. I've had it just less than a year and have 19K miles on it. When the belt broke, it also broke a seal that leaked some oil. Repairs are covered under warranty, but the car will have to stay in the service center a couple of days waiting for parts.

The car is driveable, but it takes a lot of muscle to make 90 degree turns.

Just wanted to see if anybody else ran into this problem - or if you do, don't panic, you can still get home.

is it ok to empty the power steering fluid then put it some new fluid? cause my ccar squeeks and stuff sometimes when i turn or sometimes when im just going straight. or does someone know how to tighten the belt.... that might help too? i have a 99 protege 1.6

Yeah you probably have a loose belt.
