89 RX-7 Turbo Rims fitment?

Hi there,

I have an old set of RX-7 turbo wheels that are 16X7 with a 40 offset I am thinking about mounting 225 50 R16 winter tires. Will this work? I think the offset may be to small?

if you have them already, it should only take about 15-20 minutes to jack the car up and throw 'em on to check.

I did indeed test them the front hub did not fit into the rim so no dice, thx

can you find a local machine shop to open them up a little bit?
