Driving information system (trip computer)?

Does the 5 really not have the trip computer as an option? My sister has a 5 and I just found out today that every Mazda3 has the onboard computer you just have to activate it (by holding the AM/FM and CD buttons) but I tried looking up how to do this on my sisters MiniMini but must everything I could find was regarding europen models, and they said to hold down the two nobs on the dash whish I did and the odometer starting showing wierd symbols and then I pressed the left nob a few times and every light on the dash came on and wouldn't go off until I shut off the car and re-did the pressing of the knobs it was totally wierd... I went onto mazdausa.com and it doesn't show the trip computer on any of the trims (it's only shown on the GT for the 3) and I thought that was really odd.

Seems to be European only. You can see the symbols in the dash area near the radio display.

I guess that works because they did just take the 5 and bring it over and thats why its one of the best looking Mazdas thanks for the info!
