Hey guys,

Any one see the August issue of Sport Compact Car?

There is an article in there describing the Tri-point Engineering Mazda3 turbo.

Very interesting, I wonder if it would fit without too much hassle in the Mazda5?

Maybe I'll email them to see what they say?

its the same basic engine, just tuned slightly different i think. as ong as the body panels aren't too far different, it should fit up. the front mount might need some tweaking to fit the bumper.

MSP Mz5 would be *awesome*... but i doubt it will work with automatic.

Why does the top say "Flywheel HP and TQ" and the bottom says "Chassis Dyno".

If it is wheel HP it is pretty impressive. Almost what my $1500 homemade kit made on an GM 2.3L motor. If it is really flywheel HP then it's pretty weak and shouldn't come close to harming anything.

doesn't it say on their website that it's for the 2.3L and the mazda5 is a 2.0L???

Mazda 5 is 2.3l... only non 2.3's are outside of US

I believe "Chassis Dyno" means that the vehicle was tested on a dyno as opposed to just using one of the many "guestimation" methods.

You could probably get a 2.0L out of Mazda3. (uhm)
