Installing DRL kit on US MZ5

A local audio installer hooked up a DRL on my MZ5 today. He hooked it to Fog and it works wonderfully! I am in Montreal and if anyone wants the info on this installer, just give me a holler.

What exactly did he "hook up"? An external module, or did he use factory Mazda parts?

I'm interested in seeing if I can make fogs the DRL's on mine, and install HID's in the lowbeams.
