Hi everyone. I know most people will tell me that I should have gotten a Speed. I didn't want a car that requires premium fuel, gets worse fuel mileage, and I really don't like the wagons that much. So anyway, I previously owned a '93 Corrado VR-6 manual, and it did about a 6.3 sec 0-60. I always thought that car had a nice amount of pep and it was a joy to drive. Nothing like my mother's M3 but plenty good enough.
Currently, I have an '08 Mazda3 2.3 stick (about 7.5 sec 0-60). It's pretty good for what it is. It's my daily commuter and only vehicle. However, I was just wondering what kind of mods I'd have to do to attain about a one second faster 0-60. Is it possible to do this without adding a turbo (SRI, Exhaust, weight saving options, ECU chip, etc.)? Also, how much might we be talking here (I'm guessing quite a bit)?
