Foul Smell like a dead rat whever I...

Hey guys, something here is wrong here!
Whenever I back up into my steep drive way, working the clutch back & forth to get in position, on my manual shift, the car start to smell really bad! First time i even thought I back it up my car over a dead rat! :) It is really bad!!
I have driven many manual cars before, and this never happened before. Any ideas??? It is a new 2008 M3 2.3 touring with 900 miles on it.
Thanks for any input!

Sounds like you are burning the clutch...Are you trying to back up a large grade(hill)?

Sound to me like too much feather and thrttle which is overheating the clutch.

sounds like you need more practice driving standard a bit more. i don't mean to be a dick, but all cars are different, depending on what type of clutch (both application (hydralic or mechanical) and material). i would also learn pretty quick before you do burn your clutch right out. its easy to diagnose clutch wear, if you bring it in to the dealership any half decent tech will be able to tell what the cause was and you will get no warrenty.
