New Tires

So with winter well under way, and after reading all the posts about how crappy the Toyo's are in snow ... decided to grab a new set for the season. The Toyo's were slipping in the very smallest amounts of snow, so there was no way I was going to risk it!

Ended up finding a good set of 16" steelies and mounted some Hankook Icebear W300 Winter Tires. Found them in the same OEM tire size, so odometre and ride should be similar.

So far the ride difference is night and day - the Hankooks are not the best rubber you can get, but definitely handle much better in the white stuff than the Toyo's.

Safe driving everyone!

my still coated falkens performed pretty well in the snow, except that on turns, it still doesnt eat the ice on occassions cuz it has less than 100kms on them
