Remote Starter

Does anyone know if I can install (or pay someone to install a third-party remote starter? My wife works in a school, so I'd like to get her one of the long range ones for christmas...... any info would be great.

What i don t like is it seams that they may have to bypass the chip and it is easier to stel. I was planning to installed one but i changed my mind.

yes for sure but because there is a chip, it ll cost $$$$$. Shop around

It appears that the remote start unit gets connected to and communicates with the immobilizer. $225 from the dealer the PDF is hosted upon.

Remote starters are worth their weight in gold. I've had good luck with the AstroStart brand. Be sure to get a 2-way starter so you'll know for sure if it started.
