Will JL Audio 5x7 fit into Mazda5?

Will JL Audio TR570-CXi Coaxials (5x7) fit into the stock location in the Mazda5? Mostly concerned about mounting depth.

Has anyone used these or any other after market speakers with a new amplifier but retaining the stock head unit and using the high-power inputs? Will this in conjunction with a good 4 channel amp give decent (better than stock) sound?

Are these the best sounding 5x7 or 6x8 speakers? What about these MB Quart?

Are there any better options without redoing the entire system? I'd like to keep the head unit stock, just looking for better sound.

BTW, where are the 6 speakers, every post I read talks about 5x7 front speakers and 5x7 rear speakers, where are the other two?

Two tweeters mounted up on the doors.

I haven't changed my speakers yet, but 5x7 are supposed to be plug and play and 6x8's might require some slight cutting.

Has anyone replaced their factory speakers with Boston Acoustics SL80 speakers? These are 5x7 speakers with a 5 inch woofer/midrange and a seperate tweeter with a built-in crossover as a direct replace for the factory speakers. I would like to try to use the factory headunit without additional amplificiation and was wondering if it would sound significantly better than the stock setup.

Do you know the size? Front doors or rear doors (sorry, don't have the car yet, its on order)? Are they mounted behind a grill? How is it wired, to the other speaker or directly to the amp? Is there a separate crossover for the tweeter? Thanks!

They are on the front doors and that's all I know. (shrug)

try crutchfield dot com.. they have a program that tells you if certain speakers fit into your vehicle(rockon)
