How To Install Eibach Springs Pro-kit

:
2006 Mazdaspeed 6
JUST THOUGHT IT WOULD HELP OTHERS OUT TO POST PICTURES OF MY LOWERING SPRING INSTALL. THEY ARE EIBACH PRO-KITS WHICH DROP THE FRONT 1.5" AND THE REAR 1.4". THE LOOK AND RIDE QUALITY IS NOTHING I HAVE EVER HAD BEFORE. I DID NOT LOOSE HARDLY ANY DAMPENING AND THE CAR LOOKS MUCH MORE AGGRESSIVE. I PICKED THESE SPRINGS UP FROM WWW.THERPMSTORE.COM FOR $224 SHIPPED. THE INSTALL TOOK NO LONGER THAN 45 MINUTES FROM START TO FINISH. ENJOY THE PICTURES.

Looks great! Did you have to roll your fenders? Looks like quite a bit of work involved. I think I'll wait until I can replace my shocks at the same time to save on work.

That looks really nice. You must have good tools and be very knowlegeable to do that in 45min. Thats uber quick!

NO ROLLING FENDERS HERE AND IM SPORTIN' 225 45 18'S WITH NO RUBBING. SUPER HAPPY WITH THE DROP. NO FUNNY SOUNDS OR NEGATIVE DRIVING EXPERIENCES AND MUCH LESS BODY ROLL.

Looks great!

Did you check to see if you needed a re-alignment (camber)? Also, do you find that go over speed bumps or steep driveways a little threatening now? Or are the oem shocks pretty good. One more question, you didn't have to cut the bump stops for some reason I didn't see that in any of the pics?

Sorry for all the ?s. I did this to my 2G talon AWD using eibach Prokit and it was a PITA, had to get re-aligned, cut the bump stops on the OEM shocks which sucked. Going over speed bumps I always cringed hearing the Cat-back rub although it was a 3".

thanks for the info!

Now that is the type of drop

Now that is the type of drop that i am looking for.My Eibachs will be here friday.

Yeah camber issues? Alignment? I would hate to do it and find out that I had to replace tires in 5 months of driving

Install pictures are awesome!

Any chance you can add some descriptions so we know what your doing in each shot?

I get the general idea, but a few sentances would make this write up perfect.

Looks good. Great pics. Add a little write-up and we can sticky this thread for all to refer to.

Don't forget that Megan racing Springs are Linear (stronger/higher rate), Eibach Pro-kit is progressive which are softer rates. Megans cost $115.00 shipped.

Below is another 'how to install' .pdf instructions. On the Speed6, some bolts sizes are different. Just have a set of different size sockets.
