Lowering Exhaust (Installing Hitch)

Just picked up a Hidden Hitch for my CX-7. It says I have to temporarily lower the exhaust to install the four main bolts. I took a quick look at the rubber exhaust holders - anyone have experience removing these - I only looked at them for a few seconds but couldn't figure out how they worked. thanks

problem solved - turns out you can actually install the hitch without lowering the exhaust (Helps if you have a second set of hands though). There's enough room to slide the hitch into place around the exhaust. I temporarily held it in place with zip-ties leaving me free to attach the bolts/hangers.

Installed a hitch on our CX-5. The instructions also recommended lowering the exhaust. Got a large nylon strap and held the exhaust up with that while the rubber mounts were off. Believe that the strap supported the exhaust from the lower rear suspension arms.
