Since I had to remove the HU anyway, I decided to place the iPod and XM radio inside the storage bin.
I removed the storage bin and drilled 2 (1/2") holes on both side (back/behind the storage tray) for the wires to run through. I wanted a clean install without any wires visible. All wires are behind the HU and left side of glove compartment. The audio link is also near the glove compartment and XM antenna is inside next to passenger side front windshield. The only item I changed is the black felt and replaced it with a red felt (to match the red AEM CAI I just ordered
and the dash lights)
I can close the cover when I leave the car. Everything fits just right.
The BEST thing about it... audio link sounds awesome!!!
