The service manager called today and said he was having a hard time finding a van and ended up saying he could get a ford product van for tomorrow and get a mazda car for today. I told him that there is no way I would get into a ford van and my wife would never drive it. I told him unless it is an mpv I will continue driving my 5 until the parts are in. I told him i checked under the vehicle and examined it for quite a while and everything seams perfect. He then said he would call me back and will work on getting me an mpv. I dont mean to be a %#$$ but im not going to drive around in a rental ford minivan for a month. Im sorry, but id rather drive my fireball 5 if they arent willing to supply me with an equivalent product of THEIR OWN. So booya im still driving a 5 :)

Oh, please. So many whiners here. You're offered a minivan for the time it takes to fix your mini-mini-van and you b**ch about it. I'm sure the boys in Iraq can relate while wondering if what they're riding in is enough to protect them.

Drive the 5. If it burns you go without it even longer.

WTF dont compare a car purchase with the iraq war as thats probably the dumbest correllation I think I have ever heard from someone over 3. Im not driving a POS ford minivan or anything my wife doesnt want to drive when there are mpvs on a dealer lot that mazda instructed them to use and they would be compensated. You can be one of those people who panzie out or you can tell people things that bother you. I for one am getting ready to take a trip in a couple weeks to my parents 6 hours away with a 10 week old. If I felt unsafe in a ford minivan I believe I have my right to say so. Why would I cost mazda the price of them renting a car to me when my 5 is fine ( I checked the under carriage ) when they have no parts to fix it. If youre going to complain about someone's comments about a recall\rental atleast get your older brother in the 5th grade to proof read your logic and check that it makes sense. (upyours)

Yes Sir,
The guy brought up whining and the iraq war because I didnt want to drive a windstar!
Ill be nicer to the mentally less fortunate I promise. :)

Swing and a miss. You'd rather drive a car that may catch fire than drive a Ford because it's a Ford.

Yeah thats got the iraq war written all over it, youre so right. I guess as long as it makes sense to you. Ive owned an 88tbird, 96 mustang, 2000 mustang and a 2000 focus. Ford spends their few brain cells on making great trucks and cheap muscle cars, not vans. If I dont want my wife driving a ford cry all you want, maybe you can try to compare it with ww2 or vietnam. Are there any more vets you can try to disrespect today? (braindead

I think more Fords have gone up in flames than any other single automobile manufacturer. (uhm)

:) True, True, if only ford could pack some canibus leaves in the interior we could all be mellow everytime it went up in flames.

Its funny how someone with 5 posts is trying to start drama arguing a ford over a mazda in a mazda forum and comparing it with a war.

There are antagonists every where you go (especially on the net). I try to ignore them.

Youre completely right, that would be mass chaos. Not to mention resturaunts and grocery stores would get raided with all the hungry people. Yes I like chinese food as well thanks for sharing.

Yep She is in a league of her own right now. Its best to wait it out youll be happy.

Nah im not a big fan of wooden posts. Ill take that back, get me drunk we will see what happens.

Of course im out for blood. I paid for a new car and it hasnt been in my possession for week(s). In return I am dealt with a used beat down cigarette stinking 05 mpv with florida plates then a PT cruiser. The dealer wasnt willing to give out new MPVs as they said it was too much of a liability whatever that means. A used rental in trade for a new car I AM MAKING PAYMENTS ON is not a fair trade. Mazda will have to compensate me for this months payment at bare minimum as my wife wont let me go on another day if I dont as she is furious and uses profanities every day that she has to drive herself and child around in my 3i vs the 5 that she adores because she has hated everything I brought home to replace it. The inconvenience worsens every day. Is there anyone willing to harp at the customer support for some goodies???? If not I may have to.

Sorry to 'jack this thread....

No offense, but you sound like the stereotypical Yankee.

Geezz man, take a deep breath and relax. The world isn't going to end because you made a payment on a car that isn't available to you. You make it sound like the dealer took your first born and is holding them hostage or something. As well, so typical to try to get some "goodies" out of all of this. If most people in the world acted the way do it would be a sorry place to live.

By the way, the Mazda5 is a great car, congrats on your choice and hope you get it back soon so your wife doesn't have to b**** at you any more.

Yeah, what a horrible world if most people expected to get what they pay for, and if most people tried to haggle for the lowest price possible when buying a car, and if most people tried to make/save as much money as possible. Oh, wait, that IS how things work here (usa)

Youre right, if i was in a 3rd world country and i bought a car and some1 took it away and let you borrow something you didnt want, I should feel completely happy as long as I have something to drive. I should be inclined to let him take my car at anytime as I dont own it, my nazi govt owns it. The money I paid for it doesnt matter as my hard work means nothing as it helps my nazi govt survive. ...ok now....as you can see, a car manufacturer and socialism arent the same. We, here in the usa and canada, are allowed the freedom to stand up when we have reservations or we feel like we could have been treated better. Go preach your socialism somewhere else. In times of need usa gives more of their yearly income to charities and relief funds than anyone (and not by a close margin either). Likewise you can take your elf righteous yank terminology and shove it.
