So Far there are 3 (possibly 4) known variants of a Cold Air Intake for the MP3 that are manufactured and sold to the public.
- INJEN (www.injen.com) MSRP about $300.00, accomodates both MAF and Temp sensors, Air Filter has Velocity Stack, 3 sleeves tie it all together, color chrome (injen calls it polish) finish only, doesn't come with water bypass valve. Injen doesn't sell to public so you must buy from dealer. List is on website. I was quoted $225.00 at Racing store in FL
- Mad House Productions (www.mhptuning.com) MSRP (retail since they are the only seeler or distributer for their intake) $278.00. 2 models I've seem pics of, 1. Silver tubing, 4 sleeves (yellow), accomodates both MAF & Temp sensors, AEM water bypass valve included. 2. Carbon Fiber tubing (dark grey/black), 3 sleeves (yellow), both sensors , AEM water bypass valve included, nice MHP logo on tube.
3. Rumored to have a gun metal colored version. No picture proof yet.
What's missing are any Dyno tests that might help folks decide beyond looks. Injen promises that they will be doing dyno testing on their CAI and that results will be posted on their website. No word from MHP yet but maybe they will too.
