WOW, this is an old thread. I don't even have the P5 I bought this for anymore. But to answer your question, yes it is a bit louder, but in a good way.

I sold that exhaust less than one week after buying it because I traded my P5 for an MSP.

That is a good deal. it shouldn't be any more than $30 to ship. So you'd still save almost $100.
